The Taipei City Government strives to build safe and healthy work environments, to provide laborers with resources for lifelong learning, and consequently to preserve and promote Taipei’s unique labor culture. In developing industrial skills to meet manufacturing needs, the Taipei City Government adopts a more versatile skill development system to meet the needs of the increasingly globalized and competitive labor market. Setting labor competency standards, categorizing different laborers’ career orientation, providing career-planning services, the Government establishes a more comprehensive employment safety mechanism, enhances labor participation and salary while lowering unemployment rate.
